DurationLearn all the skills you need to start your own knitting adventures! In this workshop, you will learn the basics of knitting, how to cast on, the knit stitch, how to cast off and finishing your project. The result is a pair of fingerless gloves to warm your hands and soul throughout the colder seasons.

Materials needed for class are: Aran weight yarn, a pair of 5.5mm needles and a darning needle for finishing. Bring your own or buy our Starter's Kit on the day. As always, students receive 10% off on purchases made on the day of the workshop. And of course, there is tea and nibbles available during class.

The aim of this class is to teach you the basics and get you started. You will begin this workshop being shown how to hold your hook and yarn, how to create the basic chain and then introduce you to crochet stitches such as single, double and treble crochet.
Using modern machines and equipment, patchwork and quilting has never been so easy. We will cover various techniques which will be ideal for those who have never tried piecing or quilting before. These blocks can be used to make a bag, a cushion cover, or we can really go for it and plan a quilt.
Have you always wanted to learn to knit? Join us and learn to knit AND make a cosy snood or hat to take away! All materials included. Knitting for complete beginners! Choose from one of the two projects: a cosy hat or snuggly snood.
Join us for an introduction to sock knitting. During this full day workshop you will learn all the skills required to knit a full sized sock, whilst knitting this mini version.
This workshop will show how to design and make a needle case using a selection of decorative stitches on the sewing machine. And to save you searching for a needle to fill it, you’ll also receive a free packet of large-eyed needles to get you started.
