Learn all the skills you need to start your own knitting adventures! In this workshop, you will learn the basics of knitting, how to cast on, the knit stitch, how to cast off and finishing your project. The result is a pair of fingerless gloves to warm your hands and soul throughout the colder seasons.

Materials needed for class are: Aran weight yarn, a pair of 5.5mm needles and a darning needle for finishing. Bring your own or buy our Starter's Kit on the day. As always, students receive 10% off on purchases made on the day of the workshop. And of course, there is tea and nibbles available during class.

This class is suitable for total beginners – no knitting or crafting experience is required. You’ll be taught how to use your arms as knitting needles and you’ll create your whole blanket before the workshop has ended (approximately 150cm x 90cm).
Spend a relaxing afternoon crafting, meeting like-minded folks and learning how to needle felt. During this fun needle felting class, you will learn how to make a beautiful pincushion by upcycling old teacups and egg cups.

Knitting classes are offered by Knit Nottingham for all skill level. It's one of our great pleasures to offer private workshops for knitting and crochet! We've been doing it for years and they're always such great fun and so informative.
In this course we shall start at the very beginning with basic chains and wind our way through doubles, trebles with some increasing, decreasing and fancy bits along the way. The course is spread across 5 sessions which will allow us to build our knowledge gradually with lots of time.
