You’ll also have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of decorative stitching in our classroom 400 series Bernina machines and add decorative stitches to your stocking!
All class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please purchase supplies in advance of your class. You are welcome to purchase supplies online and pick up the day of your class, just select NE Alberta Store for pick-up. If you plan to shop in-store for supplies the day of your class, we recommend arriving at least 45 minutes early.
Teachers are happy to help you tackle projects specific to you. From garment making and alterations, to quilting and accessories, our contract teachers know it all!
In this workshop, we'll discuss basic mending techniques and materials. We'll look at lots of examples and help you come up with a plan for your own visible mend.  Please bring with you a piece of clothing or textile that needs to be mended so you can get started with us!Â
A machine will be provided for you! Learning to use a sewing machine will be essential to your home sewing experience. You will have the option to buy a sewing machine at the end of the first class.
Flying Pig Create Studio aims to inspire young and young at heart individuals to be creative and instill a life time love of sewing and crafting.
