What will you need to bring to the workshop?
You don’t need to bring anything unless you have your own fabric that you’d like to use for the project. You will be sent an email before the class with more info. Everything else will be provided for you. Including juice and biscuits and tea and coffee for the grown ups.
Please note that when booking you are booking for a child and an accompanying adult who will be required to stay for the duration of the workshop. You will be making one item during the session.

This course is designed especially for beginners to sewing. If you have never used a sewing machine before, or used one many a moon ago and would like to reacquaint yourself with sewing, then this course will give you the skills and confidence to get started sewing.
If you have ever wondered about the difference between patchwork and quilts, or how quilts are made and fancied having a go, then this introductory course is for you! We will take you through each step of patchwork and quilt making.
Our introductory sewing machine workshops cover all the basics of sewing techniques and the use of sewing machines, including needles, tensions, threads, stitches, plus darts, machine gathers, facings and under stitching, plus princess seams.
This course will enable students to make traditional wearable garments. Come along to join our creative sewing class to enhance your sewing skills. During this course you will learn many new sewing techniques and methods in drafting sewing patterns for wearable garments.
Learn the basic skills of reading and cutting out a pattern, taking measurements, making a toile, and samples e.g. seams, pockets, collars, cuffs etc. Using modern machines and overlockers to construct and finish the garment.
