The Language Academy of the Carolinas, Inc. began in March of 2004 with one Spanish class at my parent’s dining room table in Huntersville, NC. The classes continued to grow so much that I had to find a space to rent before my parents threw me out of their house.
Our first office was a small, two-classroom building on Old Statesville Road in Huntersville. We quickly outgrew that space before moving to our permanent location in University City where we began to offer other languages in addition to Spanish.
In order to serve more people in Charlotte, we then partnered with the Levine Jewish Community Center in South Charlotte and later established another proper office in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood.

This course is a continuation of Beginning Chinese I. It will integrate acquisition of the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) with study of Chinese culture and civilization. Prerequisite: CHIN 1311 or equivalent or instructor consent required.
