Course Details

It is a 2-day workshop to introduce Internet of Things (IoT) technology and the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT), a popular communication protocol for IoT devices. Participants will have a chance to develop simple IoT devices/prototypes to demonstrate the applications of IoT.

Through the hands?on project using an ESP microcontroller, participants can learn about Arduino coding, physics of various sensors, simple circuit and electronics, soldering skills and so on.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe and explain IoT technology
  • Describe and explain the working principle of MQTT protocol
  • Develop a simple project for remote control devices using ESP microcontroller, sensors and Arduino coding
  • Apply basic knowledge of circuits and electronics, as well as develop soldering skills
