This is our Level 1 course for complete beginners in coding or anyone who wants a refresher in basic coding concepts. This course also provides the foundation for you to progress to our Level 2 course (Swift Foundations).
What You'll Study:
Established as an institution of higher learning in 1992, Nanyang Polytechnic's (NYP) academic schools offer quality education and training through more than 40 full-time diploma courses and common entry programmes.
NYP also has a full suite of continuing education and training (CET) options for lifelong learning, ranging from specialist and advanced diplomas, to SkillsFuture modules and courses.
NYP's Asian Culinary Institute and the Singapore Institute of Retail Studies are CET institutes set up in partnership with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to champion and transform Singapore's F&B and retail sectors respectively.
A third NYP CET institute - the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning - also set up in collaboration with SSG, will spearhead the development of progressive workplace learning strategies and programmes for companies here.
Using a block-based programming editor developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, students will develop coding skills while learning math, science, animation, game development and machine learning techniques.
As a continuation from the introduction workshop ‘Learn To Code Using Python - Level 1', students will improve their Python knowledge to build applications with object-oriented classes & DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) functions.
Kid Coder classes are offered by Coding Academy for kids. Our vision inspire computational thinking through quality learning experiences, and empower our students to make a positive difference to self, community and the world.
This is an introductory program designed for participants who would like to explore more about Coding and Science in a fun environment packed with hands-on activities. All students are welcome to join us!
