It is in fact a legal requirement for those with responsibility for managing premises to be competent in your role. Not just for health and safety professionals, this means that if you have any responsibility for the control of legionella at work yo  should be suitably and sufficiently trained in legionella, legionnaires' disease awareness, risk assessment and control measures required.
