The course is designed to help you progress your training within a practical environment that also includes written assignments. This one-year, full-time programme of study will introduce you to bricklaying. lt will help you develop the skills you will need to progress onto a Level 2 course, an apprenticeship or employment.
New students will enter at Level 1. Progression throughout the course will be assessed by the completion of theory and practical work modules. No final test examinations are required to complete the learning, just ongoing evidence of you performing real construction tasks.
This course will help learners to develop various skills and techniques to allow them to build brickwork and blockwork of all shapes and sizes. Students will learn how to set walls and buildings, following instructions from foremen and architects.
This qualification is ideal for candidates who want to work as a Bricklayer in the construction industry. It will help you learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in bricklaying.
