This course will help you gain confidence to progress further in your chosen occupational area and will enhance your own personal development, helping you to achieve your goals in education and training
What Will I Learn?
You will study a variety of units, which could include Health & Social Care for Children, Young People & Adults, Health & Safety, Preparation for Employment, Play & Practical Activities, Personal Development, and Nutrition.
You will also study Essential Skills for Work & Life, Communications and Application of Number. During the course you will undertake practical work experience.
Entry Requirements
You will require 3 GCSEs at A*- D, which must include Maths/Numeracy and English/Welsh, or completion of a full vocational programme which must include GCSE Maths/Numeracy and English/Welsh at grades A*-D or equivalent. A successful DBS check will be a requirement of the course.
Plus two satisfactory reference and DBS clearance.
Assessment
You will be asked to complete assignments during the year and will be assessed on these. CACHE recommends that a minimum of 80% attendance is essential to successfully complete the course.
Career Progression
After successfully completing the Diploma, you may be able to progress to the CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, Level 2 BTEC Health and Social Care or Level 2 Playwork
