It will also give you the chance to develop practical sporting and coaching skills, whilst learning how to keep active and healthy.
The Level 1 Sport programme (Certificate in Sport) is designed for you to develop basic skills and knowledge in sport and to be able progress to further study or employment in the sports and leisure industry.
The skills and knowledge you will work on are relevant to the sports industry, such as coaching, working in the outdoors, sport and active leisure sectors, sports volunteering, nutrition and health, and events support.
You will also have the chance to study a second qualification on this course - the Principles of Coaching Sport. This will provide you with an introduction to sports coaching and provide you with the skills and principles to safely deliver sports coaching sessions.
We will also offer extra qualifications to make you more employable and give you extra skills, including the Level 1 Sports Leaders Qualification and L1 First Aid.
