Course Details

This course is a great introduction to the travel and tourism industry.

You will explore the importance of customer service and the role of an overseas resort representative. You will also have the opportunity to gain insight from experienced industry guest speakers and go on exciting trips to enhance your learning.

Assessment Methods

You will be assessed through a combination of short written tests, case studies, projects, presentations and role plays.

Course Content

During this course, you will cover the following:

  • The UK travel and tourism industry

  • Customer service in travel and tourism

  • Locational geographies such as UK and worldwide destinations

  • The role of overseas resort representatives

Entry Requirements

You should have two GCSEs at grade 2 or above.

Achieving a good standard of English and maths is a key requirement for many jobs, as well as for courses you may wish to progress on to. If you achieve below a grade 4 in your English and maths GCSEs at school, you will study it alongside your course when you join us.

Future Progression Opportunities

Once you have successfully completed this course, you will have the opportunity to advance your skills by progressing on to either of the following:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism

  • Level 2 Diploma in Cabin Crew

  • Level 2 Diploma in Aviation Environment
