This qualification is for those that are interested in or are required to attend annual training in basic life support. While some candidates may be interested in undertaking this qualification for personal development, those working in a GP or dentist surgery may attend to meet industry requirements.

This course is assessed through multiple choice question paper, a practical observation and verbal questioning. Successful completion results in an accredited certificate valid for 1 year.
This course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments.
This qualification is available to those over 16 years.
Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment methods.
Attendees will be required to demonstrate First Aid procedures as they would in a real work environment. This includes providing CPR to a casualty who is on the floor, therefore be physically capable of doing so.
