Entry requirements?
You will need to have completed the AAT Certificate in Accountancy Level 2 to sign up to this course. Aplicants considering starting at level 3 without the AAT level 2 qualification must discuss this with the course manager before enrolling.
How is it assessed?
The course is assessed through a variety of exams.
What can I do next?
You can progress on to the AAT Diploma in Accounting Level 4 course at the college. Once all three levels of the AAT qualification have been achieved you will be a qualified accounting technician and can apply for full professional membership of AAT as long as you can satisfy their work experience requirements.
You may then consider continuing your studies to become a qualified accountant. Each of the professional institutes (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and CIPFA) accepts AAT qualified accounting technicians onto their programmes of study, and all offer exemptions.
What financial support is on offer?
Courses with a duration over 12 weeks and costing in excess of £150 (including exam fees) can be paid for in instalments over the duration of the course or one year (whichever is shorter).
While the College can not guarantee this arrangement in every case, we will do our best to accommodate requests to pay by instalments. In order to pay by instalments you must come into the college, we cannot take payment online.
