Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) & Aviation Train the Trainer

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) formerly known as PTLLS, has been designed to introduce teaching for individuals who aspire or currently work in adult education. This includes FE colleges, training providers, workplace training departments and/or Local Authorities. It is a nationally recognised qualification and is also often the preference for employers to source as an accredited train the trainer qualification. It is recognised by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as an acceptable qualification to become a CAA certified trainer.

This version of the course has been further developed to meet the requirements of the IATA Train the Trainer syllabus with additional aviation related content, our course is aligned with IATA AHM1110 11.2 (GEN10). This course can also be used to meet the standards of IS-BAH IG 8.1.6. 

This qualification includes three written assignments and a practical micro-teach session. Free online live sessions are also available. 

Delivery Methods:

We offer a choice of flexible delivery methods, for individuals or groups:

Distance Learning (self-study)

• Enrol immediately, any day of the year (Ideal for individual students)

• Self-study at your own pace

• Unlimited one to one support from a tutor (phone, email and live online sessions)

• Complete 100% remotely with no attendance in person

Classroom (face to face)

• Delivered over 3-4 days, with homework

• Flexible delivery options including evenings and weekends, or days can be split (one per week etc.)

• Option to blend with remote learning to reduce classroom time to as little as 1 day

• Recommended group size between 6-12 people, ideal for in-house courses

Live Online Sessions

• Attend live scheduled online lessons delivered by a tutor

• Complete assignments remotely with one to one tutor support where required

• Deliver your micro-teach session to other learners via Zoom/Teams.

• Printed copies of assignments and session plan templates

Assessments:

This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence which must cover all assessment criteria of the units selected. Assessment methods include:

• 3 x written assignments.

• A micro-teach session

• Self-evaluation

Target Audience:

This version of our Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who intend to train, or are currently training within the aviation industry, or teaching aviation related subjects in a further education college. It may form part of the application process to become a CAA certified security instructor.

Pre-requisites

Learners must be aged 19+ years to be enrolled onto this course. You do not need to be in a current teaching or training role to complete this qualification.

Please note: course materials are provided in English and the practical assessment must be completed in English.

Certificate:

Two certificates will be awarded upon completion. Both are provided in PDF and hard copy format.
