About Course

Our QNUK accredited team deliver the Level 3 Award in Education and Training in Stoke or on site nationally.

Designed to give people the knowledge and confidence to teach in the post 16 education sector, perhaps as a trainer in the private training industry or as a teacher/lecturer in further education, this qualification replaces the old PTLLS course in certifying people to teach at a nationally accredited standard.

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is the updated version of the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) certification. The two are often used interchangeably, though there are some minor differences. The Level 3 AET has a different name and some of the course content included is refreshed and tweaked from the PTLLS. The PTLLS is now defunct, so only the Level 3 AET is available to learn.

How Completing This Course Will Help You:

  • Comprehensive Training in Education and Training: Obtain essential knowledge and skills to deliver effective teaching and training sessions, ensuring the development and success of your learners.

  • Accredited Qualification: Earn a recognised Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) certification, validating your competence in teaching and training delivery and enhancing your credibility as an educator.

  • Regulatory Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with education and training regulations and standards by completing the Level 3 AET Course, minimising legal risks and promoting quality assurance in education delivery.

  • Effective Teaching Strategies: Learn a variety of teaching methods, techniques, and strategies to engage learners, promote active participation, and facilitate effective learning outcomes.

  • Assessment and Feedback Skills: Develop skills in assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and evaluating the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities to support learner development and achievement.

  • Professional Development Opportunities: Enhance your career prospects and personal development as an educator by gaining the Level 3 AET certification, opening doors to further education and training opportunities within your organisation and beyond.

This course is designed for individuals who would like to start teaching or for those who are already teaching but need a nationally recognised teaching qualification for their career development.

It is designed for both the private training industry and post 16 educational institutes, and covers the generic teaching skills that are required in becoming an effective teacher/trainer.

Potential progression routes include the Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training (CTLLS) or the Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (DTLLS).
