This level 3 apprenticeship is aimed at those currently working in an oral healthcare setting and provides an excellent start to a career in dentistry and oral health.
Duration
18 months.
Entry requirements
Learners must achieve Level 1 in English and Mathematics during initial assessment.
Progression route
Level 3 is the professional qualification needed to work as a dental nurse and to register with the General Dental Council. Learners can progress to senior and specialist dental nursing roles, Dental Practice Manager, Hygiene Therapist and Dentist.
End Point Assessment
To successfully pass this diploma, one or more of the following assessments will be carried out:

Results for Learner
On completion of this programme, learners can register with the General Dental Council and continue with their Continuous Professional Development.
Learners can undertake further studies, including how to take dental impressions, radiation courses for taking dental x-rays and sedation courses.

This course will teach the implant clinician the principles of full arch immediate placement: how to find the right patients to offer this treatment to, all the background knowledge and hands-on exercises, and then view live full-arch implant surgery using the CHROME GuidedSMILE treatment workflow.
You will also need great communication and organisational skills as you will be responsible for looking after the equipment and maintaining high levels of cleanliness. The course is aimed at qualified General Dental Practitioners (GDP’S). It meets the new GDC requirements for enhanced CPD. Delegates can attend with an assisting dental nurse to enchance their skills.
