The travel & tourism industry is a dynamic and fast growing sector accounting for over 2.1 million jobs in the United Kingdom. Our NCFE qualifications will provide you with key skills and knowledge to gain employment in this fast-growing industry. Located near Windsor, we have the benefit of a leading cultural heritage on our doorstep, alongside LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and two major airports.
The course gives you the skills and knowledge to work in airports, airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, hotels or other accommodation, tourist information centres, tourist attractions, cruise line companies, holiday centres, conference or events organisations.
We have great links with employers such as Castle Hotel Windsor and Monkey Island Estate, with whom we work to provide routes into employment. You will be taught by a team of lecturers with a high level of commercial knowledge and subject experience.
Students will also have the opportunity to visit employers such as British Airways. Trips are an important part of the course. Previously students have been to Peak District, Thorpe Park and Central London.
UK work experience is a compulsory part of the course and for the most dedicated students there are opportunities for a three-week internship in Spain or Portugal.

This course focuses on UK and worldwide destinations and also investigates the components of the travel industry. You will develop customer service and business skills, as well as gaining knowledge of UK and European holiday destinations.
At least 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above ideally in maths and English or merit / distinction at Level 2 and have been strongly working towards English and maths GCSE.
You will explore the importance of customer service and the role of an overseas resort representative. You will also have the opportunity to gain insight from experienced industry guest speakers and go on exciting trips to enhance your learning.
This qualification aims to provide learners with an understanding of the principles of the Travel & Tourism Industry and allow them to explore the various avenues of work within this industry.
This course is designed to give you a good understanding of a variety of careers within the Travel and Tourism industry and will give you a range of skills and knowledge required for employment.
