About this course
On the Introductory Diploma you will study units such as Specialist Tourism, Cruise and Marketing to develop your knowledge of the industry, gain hands-on experience hosting a travel exhibition and work as a Resort Representative during a residential trip.
The Extended Diploma covers a wide range of units such as Conference and Events, UK Airports and Cabin Crew. Develop your interpersonal skills by leading a guided tour in London and organising and hosting a charity event.

At Brooklands College we have a team of dedicated, experienced staff with vast travel industry experience. Our students enjoy classes in our dedicated tourism and cabin crew rooms.
Over the duration of your course you will learn everything you need to know to have a successful start in industry. You also have the opportunity to experience the industry first hand, putting into practice what you have learned in the classroom during assessments on our fantastic day trips and overseas visits

What qualifications will I need?

About
Brooklands College is a Further Education college based on two campuses in Surrey, one in Weybridge and the other in Ashford. We are proud to be one of Surrey’s largest providers of vocational training and further and Higher Education.
Our course offering is diverse and our teaching excels, the support we provide for our students is also excellent and recognised as one of our key drivers for success.
Brooklands College opened in 1951 (formerly Brooklands Technical College) and has grown steadily over the years, building on the college’s established expertise and developing our provision to meet the constantly changing demands of the local, regional and national economies.
In 2016 we opened our Ashford Campus to focus on a selection of full-time courses, as well as offering part-time courses in ESOL, Computing and English and Maths skills for adults.
The college has been awarded ‘Good’ by Ofsted following the recent December 2023 inspection, highlighting the many areas of strength including how “learners benefit from a calm and studious environment in which they learn well”. It also reports that “learners and apprentices work hard at their studies and demonstrate consistently the behaviours expected for study and employment”.
The vast majority of the classroom based learning takes place on the main campus at Weybridge with over 1,600 students engaged in study programmes. In addition the College provides a good range of programmes for adults and Higher Education provision in partnership with Oxford Brooks University and Kingston University.
