Level 3 T Level in Childcare and Education
An exciting new qualification is suitable for post-16 students looking to develop both knowledge and practical skills in the education and early years sector. The T Level will give you the sector knowledge and skills needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical training relevant to the T Level.
The Details
The focus of the T Level course is to equip learners with the tools to gain roles within the early years sector. Industry placements are intended to provide students with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for skilled employment in their chosen occupation which are less easily attainable by doing a qualification alone.
The technical qualification is split into 2 component parts over two years.
The core component in the first year will assess the knowledge and underpinning concepts, theories and principles as well as core skills for the education and Early Years sector. This is assessed by both written examinations and an employer-set project.
The second year assesses the occupational specialism component – the Early Years Educator, this will be assessed by a range of synoptic assignments.
Practical assessment both in class and in high quality placements will take place through-out the two years.
We have a specialist provision and specialist tutors and assessors for our T-Level learners with selected employers supporting your placement journey. You will have the chance to learn in our dedicated T level teaching space in our very own HC Childcare Centre, with all the latest physical and digital resources you would find in an early years setting.
On completion of the T level you will be fully equipped and prepared for an exciting career in the early years industry, supporting families and young children. Alternatively it will give you a route into Higher Education and teaching.
