Learners undertaking this qualification will be able to understand the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment and internally assure the quality of assessment.

Duration:
Typically, distance learning students complete this course within 3-6 months although students are able to take up to 12 months to complete the qualification. Extension options are available if required.
Delivery Methods:
Distance Learning – but don’t worry, you’ll be allocated a dedicated Tutor who will support you fully throughout the duration of your course.
Assessments:
Unit 1 is assessed through a written assignment. Unit 2 is assessed by carrying out quality assurance activities for at least two assessors, each with at least two learners. One of your activities will be observed and there will also be a professional discussion with a qualified IQA. You will also be required to submit a CPD record and reflective journal.
Pre-requisites:
Learners must be aged 19+ years to be enrolled onto this course. If enrolling to this course as an individual, you must be working or have access to a training or teaching environment as you are required to carry out quality assurance in a live environment as part of the qualification.
Please note: course materials are provided in English and assignments must be completed in English.
Who should do this course?
This course will qualify the candidate to act as an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA). These roles exist in further education colleges, independent training providers and apprenticeship providers.
It will also be a useful qualification for those responsible for managing the quality of training and/or assessment within workplace training.
