Course Overview
The rationale of the Diploma is to provide recognition for those who wish to develop their own abilities in

The qualification will enable learners to become independent, self-directed learners with tools and motivation to continue learning, developing and reflecting on practice throughout their careers.
It is also envisaged that all Qualifi centres will consider this qualification to extend their knowledge of teaching and to provide consistent, standardised assessment reports and appropriate feedback to learners.

Entry Requirements
This qualification is designed for learners who are employed in an early year setting who wish to upskill into an Advanced Practitioner role. Entry is at the discretion of the centre. However, learners should be aged 18 or above to undertake this qualification.
Learners must already hold a full Level 3 early years/childcare qualification.
Centres are responsible for ensuring that this qualification is appropriate for the age and ability of learners. They need to make sure that learners can fulfil the requirements of the learning outcomes and comply with the relevant literacy, numeracy and health and safety aspects of this qualification.
Learners registered on this qualification should not undertake another qualification at the same Level with the same or a similar title, as duplication of learning may affect funding eligibility.

Our primary postgraduate routes are School-Based Initial Teacher Training routes to Qualified Teacher Status, with or without a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (awarded in conjunction with Birmingham City University).
This T Level will allow you to develop your knowledge across topics such as child development, safeguarding and special educational needs, as well as learning about the role of families and support agencies.
T-Levels are new courses which follow on from GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A-Levels. These 2-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares you for work, further training or study.
Our PGCE with QTS (Employed Route) enables trainee teachers to gain Qualified Teacher Status while in employment in schools in England.
