Course Structure
This course is completed partially as a distance learning qualification by:
Individual research and evidence gathering at home under the guidance of your personal assessor
Telephone assessment appointments to discuss your evidence and/or submitting written evidence to your assessor
An observation of you in practice is required to complete this qualification.
You must also be working in positions where you have input on staff supervisions, deal with complaints, leading or managing a team, input within finance, lead staff meetings and have input within care needs assessments.
There are no exams required to achieve the qualification
Course Duration
Depending on the units taken the average learning time is approximately 407 hours but many learners do complete in less time than that. We find most learners can complete this programme within a 9- 12month timescale. This course has a limit of 12 months to complete from enrolment date.
Costs
This course is fully funded, but there is an initial registration enrolment fee of £25, usually paid by your employer.
Who can enrol for this course?
Must be aged 19+. As this qualification requires observation of the learner in practice, learners must be in a job role appropriate to the chosen units.
Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

Anyone with the opportunity to move into a managerial role and requires the underpinning knowledge and skillset to make the move into the role successful
Anyone already in a management position but is yet to achieve a formal qualification at Level 5
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course you will be issued with a free online copy of your certificate. Candidates wishing to have a hard copy certificate will be charged £100 less the cost of your initial registration enrolment fee
What will I learn by taking this course
Learners must achieve a minimum of 80 credits to achieve the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (RQF). Learners must achieve 60 credits from mandatory units and the remaining credits come from the optional units
