The qualification is assessed by a combination of practical demonstration and oral questioning by the trainer. Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a certificate that is valid for three years. Introducing Delyse Hobbs
My name is Delyse, and I am the founder, Director, and Lead Instructor of Oxford First Aid Training.
I have over 30 years’ experience as a nurse and a midwife, working firstly in Australia, and then in the UK. For me, it’s not about just telling people what to do in an emergency – it is teaching them why and how it is important. I believe that a greater understanding of the ‘why’s and ‘how’s will empower a First Aider far better than a list of memorised instructions without context.
Over the course of my career, I have had many various roles and responsibilities that I draw upon to enrich my teaching. The knowledge and practical experience I have gained is extensive, and ensures that my ability to deliver real-life experiences in the training room is up-to-date, relevant, and practically applicable.
I am passionate about ensuring people are provided with the tools to confidently apply First Aid in their day-to-day lives.
