This 5 day course specifies the outcomes required to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the basic level. Successful participants can then apply for their High Risk Work Licence.

Up to 70% of the course cost may be refundable to eligible applicants through the ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund. MBA Group Training will apply for this refund on your behalf on successful completion of the course.

 

Description

This program is delivered and assessed by Southern Training Organisation RTO 91378.

This course specifies the outcomes required to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the basic level, consisting of scaffolding work connected with the operation or use of modular or pre-fabricated scaffolds, cantilevered materials hoists with a maximum working load of 500kg.

The course also includes ropes and gin wheels, safety nets and static lines, bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork) and consists of theory and practical training which requires participants to complete reading tasks, written assessments and calculations.

 

Requirements

  • Must provide 100 points of identification and be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Participants must wear steel capped safety footwear during training and assessment
  • English language skills sufficient to understand both written and verbal instruction
  • Basic numeracy skills
  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment (attached) to be completed prior to confirmation of your enrolment
  • Ability to work at heights
