Course Overview:
This unit of competency provides the participant with the knowledge and skills to safely operate a boom-type elevating work platform (EWP) (boom length 11 metres or more) for licensing purposes.
It involves the operation of a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device or any combination of these used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated to perform work.
The 11-metre boom length shall be taken to mean the greater of the following:
The vertical distance from the floor of the platform to the surface supporting the (EWP) with the platform at its maximum height, or
The nominal reach, measured horizontally from the centre point of rotation to the outer edge of the platform in its most extended position
Topics covered include planning the work; conducting routine checks; setting up, operating, shutting down and securing the EWP. This unit is aimed at new entrants and existing workers in various sectors including the Construction, Resources and Infrastructure or Transport and Logistics industries who will be operating an EWP as part of their daily workplace activities.
Upon successful completion of this unit, the participant receives an Interim Assessment Notice and Statement of Attainment, which will enable them to apply to the Northern Territory regulatory body for a nationally recognised Licence to Perform High Risk Work - Elevating Work Platform (EWP).
Course Duration/Delivery Mode
This unit of competency is delivered over 1day and consists of theory and practical demonstration including practice time. Delivery is at All Global Training’s training facilities or at your workplace by arrangement.
Fees:
The standard one-day Refresher course cost $350.00. Please note additional fees are payable to NT Worksafe for processing of High Risk Work Licence applications.
Full Payment for your course must be made at least the day prior to the course commencement. When paying EFT the payment must be received at least the day prior to the course commencement. Your place will be confirmed in the course once payment is made in full and course pre-requisites are meet.

Day training course with All Global Training between Monday and Friday include lunch it is provided at no extra cost to students, meals are delivered directly to your training room 12 pm daily, after hours courses and weekends do not include lunch.
