This course introduces participants to the theoretical and practical elements of safely operating motorized elevated work platforms. The course covers subjects such as:
Learning Outcomes
EWP safety awareness
Harnesses and other personal protective equipment
Hazard identification and risk controls
Pre and post operational checks
EWP orientation
Australian standard
EWP orientation (ground controls)
EWP orientation platform controls
EWP operation (emergency controls from the ground)
Emergency controls from the platform
Upon successful completion of this course, student will be awarded a Statement of Attainment and the High Risk Work License* to Operate a Boom-type Elevating Work Platform (Boom length 11m or more) by WorkSafe WA.

Our training facility is located at 27 Sphinx Way, Bibra Lake, WA 6163. We also provide training at the work place (on-site).
On-Site Training
Many companies prefer their training to be conducted “on-site”, in order to allow candidates to receive their training in a real work environment. STES offers on-site training for all our courses, provided the workplace has equipment required.

This unit covers a participant’s skills and knowledge required to conduct tracked dozer operations. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating and relocating the machine; and carrying out operator maintenance and clean up.
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to issue work permits. It covers an understanding of the permit system and the limitations of each permit, and making decisions regarding the need for and correct use of each permit.
