About The Course:
Our forklift course is for those who require a High Risk Work Licence for forklift (LF class) issued from WorkSafe WA.

During the course you will complete theory training before you complete a written and calculations assessment; and participate in practical training before completing the practical assessment.
Our Booking Confirmation provides a link to the optional study component which includes the learner guide. You will receive a learner guide when you attend.
If you would like a paper copy of the study and learner guide before you attend, you are welcome to collect a copy from our office.

Course Information:
Course hours are 7.30am – 3.30pm, registration is at 7.15am on the first day.
Method – Face-to-face training and assessment.
Assessment – You will complete a written theory and calculations assessment, followed by a practical assessment. Note: the theory and calculations assessments are closed book; that is, you cannot look at any reference material during the assessment.
This unit of competency is nationally recognised, those who complete this course successfully will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift.
Successful completion will allow you to apply for a Forklift (LF class) High Risk Work Licence with WorkSafe WA – we provide you with everything you need to post your licence application, including a stamped and addressed envelope. Alternatively, for a fee we can lodge the application for you. Please see pricing information above for further details.
What The Course Covers:
How to plan forklift work and identify and manage hazards
How to conduct routine checks
How to shift loads
How to shut down, conduct post-operations checks and secure the forklift
Entry Requirements:
There is no formal pre-requisite unit of competency required, however candidates MUST;
Be able to understand, read and write English, have an understanding of numerical values and be able to do basic calculations (for further information on the level ability required, see ‘LLN’ below)
Be at least 18 years of age or over
Bring either one form of primary ID OR three forms of secondary ID. One form of ID MUST show your name and date of birth.
Primary ID includes;
If you hold a valid high risk licence issued in a state other than WA you must bring it with you on the day of the course
If you do not hold a current high risk work licence, or your high risk licence was not issued in Western Australia, you will be required to bring one passport photo. Regular photos or a photocopy of a passport will not be accepted by WorkSafe.
If you already hold a current Western Australian issued high risk licence you do not need to bring a new photo for your licence application.

LLN – Language, Literacy And Numeracy Requirements:
To satisfactorily complete this training with us, learners need to be able to understand, read and write basic English and be able to complete basic maths.
Calculators are supplied and used during training and assessment.
