Our aim with this course is to provide the participates with the skills and knowledge required for the safe operations of a Forklift Truck, which may lead to assessments required by the relevant State or Territory to issue a High Risk Work Licence.

Note: An additional fee is charged by the relevant state or territory regulatory bodies for the issuance of High Risk Work Licences.
 

Pre-Requisites:

  • N/A

 

FSA Entry Requirements:

  • Participants must be 18 years or over
  • USI
  • Fitness to participate
  • Safety PPE and footwear (eg steelcap safety boots)
  • Sufficient English language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course, as assessments MUST be in the English language. Participants must be able to read and understand English. This is a requirement of the National Assessment Instrument.  Google Translate or an interpreter will not be accepted. 
  • 2 forms of identification
  • WA only - photos (passport size) for the application of High Risk Work Licence

 

Course Content:

  • Identify danger areas
  • Operate a forklift truck safely within limits set by the capacity plate
  • Meet the competency requirements for the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work
  • Conduct pre-operational checks
  • Post operational checks

During the training sessions we may complete practical assessments where appropriate, in a group environment, on actual work tasks or in a simulated environment
