A person performing this work is required to hold a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for Rigging Basic (RB) or be enrolled in the course through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and under the supervision of a HRWL holder.

This unit specifies the outcomes required to safely rig all types of hoists, cranes and conveyors as well as tilt slabs, perform dual lifts and all rigging tasks associated with demolitions.
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely perform basic rigging work. Riggers use mechanical load shifting equipment and associated gear to move, place or secure loads, including plant, equipment or members of a structure.
To provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to undertake activities related to Advanced Rigging as defined by the WHS Regulations 2012.
Participants will gain an understanding of what is required to safely use load shifting (earthmoving) equipment equipped with rated lifting points for slinging loads.
