The LLQP Insurance Course is a prerequisite course to qualify to write the provincial Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) examination. The LLQP is an essential foundation on which to build insurance expertise as an agent, financial security advisor, financial planner, independent broker, or dual-licensed advisor. 

It will help you expand your service offering and revenue potential by providing advice on life insurance, accident and sickness insurance, and insurance-related investment products including annuities and segregated funds.

CSI course graduates consistently receive the highest LLQP pass rates in the industry (97% in 2022).

  • The LLQP comprises four competencies:
  • Develop an ethical professional practice in compliance with the rules governing the life insurance sector and insurance of persons sector (including group insurance of persons).
  • Recommend individual and group life insurance products adapted to the client’s needs and situation.
  • Recommend individual and group accident and sickness insurance products adapted to the client’s needs and situation.
  • Recommend segregated funds, individual annuities, and group pension plans adapted to the client’s needs and situation.
  • We provide in-depth coverage of the required knowledge for these competencies in the following modules:
  • Life Insurance
  • Accident and Sickness Insurance
  • Segregated Funds and Annuities
  • Ethics and Professional Practice (Common Law, Civil Code, or both)
  • Life Insurance Taxation Principles (Optional Module)
  • (This content is not examinable but will help you acquire a thorough understanding of life insurance taxation and related strategies.)
