  • State the legal requirement affecting lifting gear and lifting machines
  • Identify and use the correct methods of lifting
  • Ascertain their duties and responsibilities when using mechanical handling equipment
  • Prepare, select and design configurations for lifting and turning awkward loads
  • Recognise the need and the requirement of a safe system of work and operate site craneage safely within their own working environment.
