Lifting operation is one of the common and regular activities carried out at all the construction and operation sites of various sectors of the construction industries, oil and gas industries, etc. Various factors like People, machinery, loads, methods, and the work environment, are important for carrying out correct lifting activity.

Every year, incorrect lifting techniques result in accidents, lost work time, property and it can also lead to disastrous accidents. Large objects can be moved more effectively with Correct lifting techniques while reducing manual handling operations.

The lifting Supervisor is responsible for executing the lifting work in a safe manner on the site. The lifting Supervisor co-ordinates and supervises all lifting activities in accordance to the Lifting Plan as well as briefing all lifting team members (i.e., crane operators, riggers, and signalmen) on the Lifting operation.
