Live Emergency Response Exercise

This training is designed to provide a live emergency response scenario, which will be conducted to assess the effectiveness of the response. Improvement opportunities will be reported and discussed after the exercise. Such programs have proven effective in enhancing the competency level of the ERT members.

The course consists of a short briefing based on an organization's established Emergency Preparedness and Response SOP as well as industry best practices. A live emergency response scenario will be conducted to assess the effectiveness of the response.

Learning Objective

This training is designed to provide a structured live emergency response exercise for the emergency response team of an organization. Such training would enhance the competency level of ERT members so that they can react quickly enough to minimize the damage to an organization asset and all other resources, including employee and production time loss.

Methodology

• Training sessions include classroom lectures, exercises, group work, and discussion.

Target Participants

Plant Manager, HSE Committee, Emergency Response Team, Supervisor, and any staff involved in emergency planning or response.

Course Outline

• Overview of typical Emergency Preparedness and Response Process

• Discussion of established Emergency Preparedness and Response SOP

• Site visit to the identified risk area. Firefighting / spillage control equipment check

• ERP exercise scenario discussion and finalization

• Fire Drill. Coverage: initiation, response, normalization, and termination of an emergency situation.

• Chemical Spill Drill. Coverage : Scenario briefing, practical with controlled spill (client prepare spill kit, spill material, exercise area)

• Wrap-up: presentation and observation discussion

Training Certificate

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participants who have fully participated in the training and satisfied the attendance requirements.
