Loading Shovel Training Course

At Plant Testing Ltd, we offer training courses on all aspects of loading and tipping for both novice and experienced operators across the UK and at our training centres in Nottingham and Chesterfield.

Training options available:

• Novice operators (wheeled or tracked) 5-days training course.

• Experienced operators (wheeled or tracked) 1-day assessment on site or at our training centre.

Qualification:

• NPORS 

Rear Tipping Dumper training includes:

• Basic construction, names of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges.

• Use of the operator’s handbook.

• Pre-use and running checks.

• Setting the dumper truck for site and road travel.

• Travelling over different types of terrain and varying inclines when loaded and unloaded.

• Manoeuvrability in open and confined spaces in a forward and reverse direction in loaded and unloaded state.

• Hazard awareness training.

• Rear tipping dumper positioning to receive loads.

• Loading procedures compliance including loading integrity and security.

• Discharge loads into trenches or over edges.

• Place the dumper in an out-of-service condition.

• Loading and unloading procedures on and off a transporter.

• Trained operator theory test.
