Learning Objectives & Specific Outcomes:
Lockout/Tagout training is an Entry-Level course. Trainees learn about lockout/tagout regulations, types of machinery requiring lockout/tagout, and necessary procedures.
Topics Include:
This 1/2-day Lockout/Tagout training Course is offered in class. Participants learn about relevant provincial and federal Lockout/Tagout regulations and the respective responsibilities of manufacturers, employers, contractors and employees.
The course covers the hazards of heavy machinery and power sources, common sources of heavy machine injuries and effective safety isolation procedures. The various types of LO/TO and the six steps involved in effectively locking out and tagging out are also covered. Trainees must pass a written exam to receive their certificates.
