Lockout Tagout 

• certifies trainees with a Lockout/Tagout Training certificate which permits them to work with heavy machinery that operates under Lockout/Tagout protocols.

Learning Objectives & Specific Outcomes:

• Lockout/Tagout training is an Entry-Level course. Trainees learn about lockout/tagout regulations, types of machinery requiring lockout/tagout, and necessary procedures.

Topics Include:

• This 1/2-day Lockout/Tagout training Course is offered in class. Participants learn about relevant provincial and federal Lockout/Tagout regulations and the respective responsibilities of manufacturers, employers, contractors and employees.

• The course covers the hazards of heavy machinery and power sources, common sources of heavy machine injuries and effective safety isolation procedures. The various types of LO/TO and the six steps involved in effectively locking out and tagging out are also covered. Trainees must pass a written exam to receive their certificates.
