Artistic and expressive, Lyrical dance is combination of ballet technique crossed with floor work, agility and free ranging movement, to express strong emotions such as love, joy, sadness or anger.
This style is focused on conveying meaning and emotion through the intepretation of music. Lyrical dance is offered to our VPA Company Performers in their weekly workshops.
Lyrical is a fluid form of dance combining ballet and jazz styles. It uses music lyrics and emotion to tell a story through movement.
A slower, soft, more expressive form of dance incorporating technical elements from both jazz and ballet.
