ATJ Dance School is proud to offer a Lyrical Classes each week, catering to any young person looking to experience dancing and performing.
Lyrical dance is expressive. Ranging in movements that can be lyrical and soft, to abstract and angular, lyrical dance can also be described as slow and expressive jazz movements with an emphasis on technique adagio/floor/centre.
Students focus on stretch, strength and a high level of technique while gaining fluidity of movement, grace and control.
Taking inspiration from contemporary and jazz dance styles, lyrical dance interprets the lyrics of a song. Come let out your emotions as you feel your way through favourite tracks.
TJS offers classes in lyrical dance where students make use of their ballet and jazz technique, while learning to utilise their bodies to convey emotions and relay a story.
