Established in 1997 by Rachel Webb, All That Jazz Dance School is a fun, friendly and encouraging dance school located on Hobart’s Eastern Shore.
At ATJ Dance School, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to dance; regardless of the reason why. For this reason, we offer both competitive and non-competitive classes. We love taking children and young adults on a journey of dance and discovery, learning skills and lessons that will stick with them for life.
ATJ has seen hundreds of students come through their doors, but it's is so much more than a dance school. ATJ is a second family; a safe place and a home to grow, learn, make mistakes and celebrate triumphs.
Owned by Brooke Hill and headed by Ash Boxhall, ATJ offers all genres of dance, including jazz, lyrical and tap. ATJ seriously has a class for anyone and everyone aged 2 years + !

Classes are available for Recreational Students & Elite Competition Students and Adults.
Our lyrical classes are for the recreational dancer that is wishing to explore the slower moving, expressive form of dance.
Our lyrical dance classes are a wonderful way to nurture expressiveness in children through the art of dance. Characterised by fluidity and grace, lyrical dance draws on ballet and jazz.
Lyrical routines are fluid in movement and focus on emotion that complements the musical selection. It can best be described as a combination of Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary.
This style is focused on conveying meaning and emotion through the intepretation of music. Lyrical dance is offered to our VPA Company Performers in their weekly workshops. Â
