At Elite Dance Academy we provide dance classes in many genres of dance including Cecchetti Classical Ballet, Glenn Wood Tap, Jazz, Modern Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Musical Theatre, Broadway Jazz, Contemporary dance and Acrobatics. We now also have Ready Set Dance for our pre-school age students , this is a fabulous program providing Confidence , Creativity and Coordination.
Our qualified & experienced dance teachers are trained to provide professional lessons in a fun and supportive environment according to the relevant syllabus. The teachers constantly attend workshops and classes to bring new styles and techniques to the Elite Dance Academy.
The students learn to dance whilst improving their confidence, flexibility, co-ordination, posture and fitness. The students make new friends whilst dancing and performing.
Taking inspiration from contemporary and jazz dance styles, lyrical dance interprets the lyrics of a song. Come let out your emotions as you feel your way through favourite tracks.
Lyrical dance is an expressive style derived from jazz and ballet techniques. This genre tells a story through movements and is perfect for children who love to express themselves and will help bring confidence out in those who are a little reserved.Â
Artistic and expressive, Lyrical dance is combination of ballet technique crossed with floor work, agility and free ranging movement, to express strong emotions such as love, joy, sadness or anger.
Classes are available for Recreational Students & Elite Competition Students and Adults.
Lyrical Dance classes are offered by Toongabbie Dance Centre. This is similar to Modern Ballet with more emphasis on correct technique. It is a fusion of ballet with jazz and contemporary dance techniques.
