Lyrical is an expressive dance form. Dancers should feel the music and show expression through the lyrics. Lyrical can often have a story and dancers can show the story through their movements.
Lyrical is based on ballet technique, so taking a ballet class is a requirement to enroll. Proper technique is very important in this class to ensure you’re doing the steps correctly. These are lyrical jazz technique classes. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of two ballet classes as well as competitive or pre-professional jazz. Placement will be determined by the teacher and students will be notified when they are ready to participate in this class.
