At HCA, we pride ourselves on the quality of our programming, the professional credentials of our instructors and the wide selection of classes within each discipline which our customers can choose from. We offer dance classes in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip hop and creative movement.
Music students can choose from private lessons in: piano, violin, woodwinds, guitar, drums, and vocal music. Our acting classes encourage imagination and self-expression. For students interested in visual arts, we offer classes for children and teens.
All potential students are able to enjoy one free group class or a free 15-minute private music assessment to find a class or teacher that is the perfect fit. For the student who wants to work on their technique and / or learn different dance styles. There is a presentation on the last day to show case what has ben learned. This is an excellent way to improve technique and focus on developing important skills that are necessary in todays performing world...
While sharp movements can be integrated for emphasis, one of the most prevalent qualities of lyrical dance is the continuation of movement, with sequences flowing very naturally and smoothly into each other, with little or no stopping or moments of stillness.Â
Students are taught to blend their steps working with slow-paced music while lengthening lines and working on emotional commitment to their movement.
