DurationLyrical is a beautiful style of dance that requires students to have previous training in ballet and jazz. Strong emotions of happiness, sadness, anger or hurt are portrayed. The movement becomes the story and portrays the lyrics of the music.

At Kristy’s Dance Fusion, we want the memories you create here to be lasting ones. We have the tools to provide each child with proper technique and placement and we feel through direction, encouragement, hard work and lots of fun; each child can achieve their greatest potential.
Our excellent teaching staff will make every effort to creative a warm and friendly atmosphere for the children and for the parents. We often find the parents will create just as many lasting friendships as the children taking class each week. Our instructors take their jobs seriously and continue their training on a regular basis through revision courses and conventions.
Students are encouraged to create an emotional connection from body to song as the more advanced dancer progresses.
Lyrical is an expressive dance form. Dancers should feel the music and show expression through the lyrics. Lyrical can often have a story and dancers can show the story through their movements.
Dancers should have a strong background in ballet and be old enough to interpret and understand the emotion of the lyrics in a song.
Lyrical dance combines ballet technique with the freedom of jazz and contemporary dance. Our classes place an emphasis on balance, extension and control while using the body to express emotion. Background in ballet or jazz is recommended.
Lyrical dance classes are offered by Dancefit Canada . At Dancefit Canada, we offer all new dancers a free one week trial for any class on our schedule. We offer both recreational and competitive dance, cultivating creativity in all our dancers in a safe, healthy and positive environment.
