Lyrical dance is a style that blends ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical is generally smoother and a bit faster than ballet, but not quite as fast as jazz. A lyrical dancer uses movement to express emotions through music and lyrics.
Powerful, expressive songs are often used in lyrical dance to give dancers a chance to express a range of emotions through their dancing.

Lyrical dance classes are offered by Dancefit Canada . At Dancefit Canada, we offer all new dancers a free one week trial for any class on our schedule. We offer both recreational and competitive dance, cultivating creativity in all our dancers in a safe, healthy and positive environment.
This class is a combination of ballet and jazz, utilizing the strength from ballet combined with the expression of jazz to help dancers learn to interpret and express feeling and tell a meaningful story through movement.
Lyrical dance most often combines jazz and ballet. It focuses on strength, flexibility, lines and emotion to music, or especially the lyrics. Very technique based, lyrical requires both a strong ballet and jazz technique. Not usually recommended for beginners or students under the age of 10.
Dancers can learn a jazz, ballet, tap, pointe, lyrical, or contemporary solo or duet. Classes include choreography and 10 half-hour private sessions with the choreographer.
