Course Details

All participants are required to complete mac 1 and pass the examination as well as pass the mcq assessment at the end of this programme. A certificate of training (cot) for mac part 2 program will be awarded to the successful participants. 

The MAC Part 2 program or better known as detailed module is a comprehensive procedures to Aesthetic Medicine. This programme requires participants to perform all procedures involving injectables, laser & lights and exfoliation and usage of other devices.

MAC part II program consists of 3 modules:

  • Module 1: Injectables (BTA & Dermal Filler)
  • Module 2: Laser & Light (Laser for Pigmentation, Laser for Rejuvenation, Laser for Hair Epilation, Intense Pulse Light)
  • Module 3: Exfoliation & Other Devices (Chemical Peel Superficial, Chemical Peel Medium, Microdermabrasion, Skin Tightening Devices)

Every module will have their own syllabus and lecture topics related to aesthetic medicine delivered by qualified lecturer.

Training module for MAC Part II is divided into 2 Sessions, known as Session I and Session II.

Session 1: 24-hour session divided into 3 consecutive days, commencement as per schedule:

  • Discussion on techniques, safety issues, complications, how to manage complication and other related matters concerning aesthetic medical procedures in every module respectively.
  • Trainer shall perform live demonstration of procedure in every module respectively (Indications / areas).
  • Trainee shall perform hands-on under trainer’s direct supervision of every procedures involved in all module respectively (Indication / area per procedure).
  • MAC secretariat shall prepare and provide subjects for demonstration and hands-on for each procedure.
  • Revision on technique, safety issue, complication, how to manage complication and other related matters concerning aesthetic medical procedures in every module respectively.

Session 2: To complete within 3 – 6 months up to 18 months:

  • Trainees shall perform all procedure independently under the guidance of their trainer for every module.
  • Trainees may contact their designated trainer for advice and guidance as deemed necessary during this session.
  • Trainees shall perform adequate number of cases as suggested for each procedure (Refer to Logbook).
  • Trainees shall be responsible to acquire their own subjects, consumables, drugs, machine rentals, agreements, consent forms, indemnity insurance and all other relevant matters in order to perform the procedures or alternatively, trainees may request assistant from MAC II Secretariat.
  • Trainees can utilize the facilities at MAC Offcial partner clinics. *standard fee applied
  • Trainees shall observe and abide all rules and regulation stipulated by the Ministry of Health and Malaysia Medical Council (MMC) concerning venue, premise license, drugs prescription (BPFK), Annual Practice Certificate (APC) etc.
  • At the end of Session II, Trainees shall ensure that the cases are recorded diligently in their Logbook.
  • Every Trainee should keep pre and post images of every logged cases and compile them in a proper folder for verification by the Trainer. This is to ensure that the cases are given the right treatment and the procedure is done correctly.
  • MAC Program shall not be responsible for any fee incurred during this session (Refer to Fee).

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Learn all the basic sciences in Aesthetic Medicine
  • Make the right medical aesthetic diagnosis and suggest the suitable treatment.
  • Understand the concept of all Aesthetic Medical Procedure.

The objectives of this programme are:

  • To teach participants a structured introductory module by qualified lecturers, tutors and certified LCP Trainers as suggested by Aesthetic Medical Practice Guidelines, Ministry of Health Malaysia and following aesthetic medicine training standard set by international bodies and societies.
  • To share with participants recommended methods and techniques in performing Aesthetic Medical Procedure(s).
  • To provide a comprehensive knowledge in the expected outcome or results of a procedure and the management of possible complications, safety issues and ways to minimize adverse effects of the procedure(s).

Participants Criteria:

  • Must have completed MAC part I and passed the examination
  • To provide information on professional indemnity

Program Details:

  • No examination. All participants will be provided 10 logbooks. After 18 months need to submit to MAC Secretariat to endorse the logbooks.
  • Certificate of Training (COT) for MAC Part II Program only be awarded to those participants whom completed the logbooks.

Lecturer

  • Trainees shall be allocated to a designated Trainer per module at the discretion of MAC secretariat.
  • MAC secretariat shall ensure that all appointed trainers are qualified, obtain Letter of Credentialing and Privileging (LCP) and certified Aesthetic Medical Practitioner.
  • Trainer shall supervise and guide their respective trainees during all the session of this program.
  • Trainer shall advise their respective trainees accordingly in an event of any untoward adverse reaction or complications, particularly with respect the Session II.
