Student Learning Outcomes
Students who complete the program will be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding of common safety policies used in modern machining facilities.
Utilize common measuring instruments to insure projects are within given specifications.
Solve common machining problems using various mathematical equations.
Demonstrate knowledge of print reading and symbology.
Setup machine tools to specification in a give time period.
Machine projects to specifications using both conventional and C.N.C. machines.
Create C.N.C. program using both "hand coding" and CAD/CAM software.
Create designs, both basic and advance using CAD/CAM software .
Complete necessary documentation and inspection forms as required.

This program is for highly motivated adults who want to acquire the skills necessary to build complex and high performance software applications and qualify for junior software engineering jobs without a computer science degree at Amazon, other tech companies of all sizes, and enterprise IT.
This course covers advanced programming techniques, including user-defined functions and types, recursion vs. iteration, and parameter-passing mechanisms. Students learn abstract data types and algorithms, programming style, object-oriented programming, and web programming.
This course covers programming fundamentals using the Python language. Python is interpreted, interactive, and object-oriented. Recommended for general-purpose programming, system administration, or web programming.
As the manufacturing industry becomes more automated, many machinist are staying ahead of the curve by learning how to use CNC machines.
This one-day course walks participants through the fundamentals of RSpec, BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and other testing methods with hands-on exercises.
