This four-part class will have you designing your own fabric and turning it into your own wearable masterpiece.
Start by exploring fabric design through simple stamping (don't worry, you don't need to be an artistic genius!), creating your own stamps & printing your fabric in the first two classes. The second two classes will have you choosing from the many great patterns in the book and sewing your lovely fabric into custom clothing or accessories. Your piece(s) will truly be one of a kind!
The class fee includes use of all printmaking materials, tools and inks. You will be able to keep your stamps!
You will also need one yard of muslin for practice, and 3-4 yards of fabric for the projects. It should be light to medium in color and solid, yarn-dyed, or almost solid. Think Essex Linen, Solids, Moda Grunge, or Brussels Washer Linen. We will discuss your choices during the first class.
For the first class, bring your book. The fabric will be needing for the second class. We will supply the stamp materials and tools, and the fabric inks.
For the third and fourth classes, you will need: sewing machine*, scissors & other regular sewing supplies, thread, pattern tracing material.
