Makeup Lessons

The Boys Studio, based in Newcastle, Australia, Dean and Mitch, have been together as partners since 2007, their first interaction was first glance at Starbucks, and been together ever since. But both had no idea on what their passion was, so fate was about to flourish.

Their first conversation {2007} about makeup and hair started over their love of fashion, makeover reality TV {remember those} and of course 'Devil Wears Prada' {and Starbucks was heavily featured in that movie}. Dean and Mitch loved the idea of the "getting glam" part to going to an event or a party, and wanted to create a space that was fun, interactive, vibrant, and a place to just get an experience with an energy to match.  

Aligned with world class makeup and hair with always the clients vision in mind and the forefront. Fast forward to now, both Dean and Mitch have had a journey in both their industries they both can be proud of. Dean and Mitch have an impressive resume and path, that had led to this point of bringing both artistic businesses together.

They have worked for multiple brands and different businesses, gathering skills and knowledge to come together and to bring you their best, and now... 'The Boys Studio'. From the start {2008} they have done the tasks and small jobs to get in the industry they were so passionately obsessed with.

From managing and leading teams in multi-million dollar cosmetic brands; Dean was manager of Napoleon Perdis {2008 - 2012} and MAC Cosmetics {2012 - 2016}, and Mitch running his own business {2013 - 2018} after his hair apprenticeship {2008 - 2012}. 

Taking these steps, building their knowledge in craft, their talent, and business like focus; the next step was right in sight and the passion had only become stronger over the years from the very first conversation. The vision was always right there, riding the wave of successes, it was just all about timing on when 'The Boys Studio' would begin.
