Managing Safely (IOSH)

Managing Safely has been developed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health to address the safety and health training needs of the non expert / manager / supervisor / team leader who is required to manage safely and effectively in compliance with their organisation's policy and best practice in health & safety.

Briefly the course includes:

• Reviewing a range of hazards and identifying hazards and a practical exercise
• Assessing risks and methods to use – practical exercise.
• Controlling risks and what is reasonably practicable.
• Responsibilities and criminal law and civil law – case studies
• Accident investigation methodology and video case study and investigation exercise and introduction to RIDDOR.
• Measuring the company / team performance and guidance on national standards.
• Practical evaluation of hazards in a project on candidates own workplace
