Manicure & Pedicure

This course is suitable for anyone interested in starting out in the beauty industry or who is interested in carrying out hand and nail treatments. On completion this course gives you the underpinning knowledge and skills to access advanced nail courses. 

Manicure

You will complete pre-course learning before your training day on Health and Safety aspects and anatomy of the arm and hands, to include bones, muscles, nail and skin structure.

The training day will include; preparation of manicure, hygiene and client safety, tools and equipment, nail and skin diseases/disorders, manicure products/benefits/ingredients, consultation, aftercare advice.

The practical application of all manicure techniques; nail shaping, nail/skin analysis, buffing, cuticle work, massage techniques, hand mask/hot mitts, polish application including French manicure technique.

Pedicure

You will complete pre-course learning before your training day on Health and Safety aspects and anatomy of the arm and hands, to include bones, muscles, nail and skin structure. The training day will include; preparation of pedicure, hygiene and client safety, tools and equipment, nail and skin diseases/disorders, pedicure products/benefits/ingredients, consultation, aftercare advice.

The practical application of all pedicure techniques; Correct toe nail shaping, nail/skin analysis, buffing, cuticle work, massage techniques, foot mask/hot mitts, polish application including French manicure technique.
