This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge & skills to effectively identify and control risks arising from manual handling tasks and to encourage awareness of manual handling and back care.
Blended/E-Learning
Participants completing this course via the Blended/E-Learning delivery method will be required to complete all learning and theory assessment online through the aXcelerate Learner Management System (LMS) and then attend the corresponding practical assessment session to complete their practical assessment.
Face to Face
Participants completing this course via the Face-to-face delivery method will be required to complete all learning, theory assessment and practical assessment on-site at the allocated Krause Health and Safety facility/venue.
What is this course about?
The Manual Handling course aims to educate participants on how to lift and move materials, equipment and general workplace objects manually and use basic manual handling equipment safely. Participants are taught to both understand why we need to follow safe manual handling techniques and the how to properly and safely apply safe lifting techniques.
What do I need for the course?
There is no prerequisite training for this course.
All required learning materials are included in the course fees (refer to our Course Fees). All you need to bring are closed-in shoes and a readiness to learn.

The Confined Space Awareness course is designed for persons who supervise, design, distribute or work on a site with confined spaces. This course does not provide the skills or qualification to enter or work within a confined space.
To provide participants with the skills and knowledge to undertake activities related to Bridge & Gantry Crane operations as defined by the WHS Regulations 2012.
Site evacuation exercises are required at least once every 12 months to test internal procedures. Fire & Evac Solutions can devise different scenarios specific to your site. An evacuation exercise can involve the whole site or specific fire compartments/areas as requested by the client
